If you have a Divx movie that you want to be able to watch on your iPod Video, you might be frustrated in trying to learn exactly how to make it work. In this article, I’m going to show you exactly how you can convert your divx to iPod using software that you can download and try for FREE!
Although there are many different software titles you could use to perform this Divx to iPod conversion, for this tutorial we are using the Movavi VideoSuite. You can download a free trial of Movavi (by clicking here) and follow along with our tutorial using your own video files. It’s really easy!
The steps below are beginning after you have already downloaded and installed the free version of Movavi.
Step One: Choose the “Convert Video/DVD” from the main menu. See image below for visual.
Step Two: Select the Divx video (from your computer or hard drive) that you want to convert. You do this by clicking on the “video” tab (it has a green cross on it). See image below for details.
Step Three: Choose the output format for your completed video (iPod format in this case). See image below for help.
Step Four: Select the Directory (folder on your computer hard drive) where you want the completed video stored.
Step Five: Click the Convert Button and Wait for Movavi to complete the task.
Step Six: Use iTunes to upload your completed video to your video iPod player. Then enjoy it anywhere you go!

Audio Video Interleave (AVI) is a standard type of video format used by many Windows PCs. If you have a video in .avi format that you want to watch on your iPod, you will need to first convert it to .mp4, which is the video format supported by the iPod.
For this tutorial, we’re going to demonstrate how easy it is to convert AVI to iPod using the Cucusoft iPod Video Converter. There are many programs you could choose for this function, but for simplicity’s sake we chose the AVI converter from Cucusoft.
