Audio Video Interleave (AVI) is a standard type of video format used by many Windows PCs. If you have a video in .avi format that you want to watch on your iPod, you will need to first convert it to .mp4, which is the video format supported by the iPod.
For this tutorial, we’re going to demonstrate how easy it is to convert AVI to iPod using the Cucusoft iPod Video Converter. There are many programs you could choose for this function, but for simplicity’s sake we chose the AVI converter from Cucusoft.
Step Two: Install and Open the software. From the box (image to the right), you will select the AVI file from your hard drive or other storage source by clicking the “Open File” button.
Step Three: Click the button called “output” to select the folder on your computer where the new iPod formatted video will be stored.
Step Four: Click the Convert Button to begin converting the AVI file to iPod format.
Step Five: Use iTunes to upload the video from your hard drive to your iPod Video Player.
Step Six: Fire up your iPod, kick back and enjoy the video on your iPod! That’s it. You’re done.
Don’t Forget to Download Cucusoft iPod Video Converter Suite!
